Media and its Role in Balochistan

Media has an immense role in this modern area and its main role is to provide up-to-date news; in addition, media plays a radical role in highlighting the issues of the masses. Media is the fourth pillar of government which is divided into two main parts i.e., Electronic Media and Print media. Electronic media includes television and radio and print media is newspapers and magazines.

Moreover, media provides us information and all the incidents and developments in the political life of our country but it hurts to mention that national media has become a silent spectator over the issues of Balochistan as if it is dumb, deaf, and blind. Most Importantly, the media has become biased and it flunked to hoist the voice of oppressed and victimized people. Recently Maulana Hidayat Rehman initiated an agitation and sit-in in Gwadar district where thousands of people participated for their fundamental and legislative rights but the nation did not pay any heed and it was given full coverage by international media later on it was compelled to give the news. I request the media reporters and anchors to play their role without any hesitation because it is your duty to highlight the issues and the role of media should be moral and positive.
