Every year, world human rights day is annually celebrated on 10th December around the globe for the purpose to spread awareness about human rights. In addition, This date was chosen by the United Nations General Assembly on 10th December 1948 to honor the adoption and proclamation of the universal declaration of human rights (UDHR). Furthermore, UDHR is the most prominent and the most translated document which is available in more than 500 languages. It consists of 30 articles that are completely about an individual's basic rights and fundamental freedoms. Moreover, each article explains every individual's rights thoroughly. UDHR aims to eradicate inequality, poverty, and discrimination between humans based on religion, color, caste, sex, nationality, or any other status. Now let me quote some specific points from some of the articles of UDHR. The first article declares, "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights." Similarly, it is mentioned in the Second Article," Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind such as race, color, sex, language, religion, nationality, and poverty." according to the third article," Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of a person." likewise 4th article explains deeply, " No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms." Most importantly 5th article justifies," No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. Furthermore, no one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention, or exile." Now it compelled me to put pen to the paper that none of them is followed in our country. Unfortunately, in an independent country, every day hundreds of humans are kidnapped are perished inhumanly without any criminality still the state is shut up. Secondly, Pakistan itself is one of the members of the United Nations but still ignores the documentary of UDHR. It is well penned in the 5th article that no one shall be tortured or punished inhumanly without any criminality but the state of Pakistan does. To make it clear, Thousands of Baloch people have been forcibly abducted by the intelligence agencies so far they are kept in torture chambers. The state has abducted numerous Baloch students, activists, journalists, leaders as they have always been against cruelty, brutality, and injustice, and secondly, they have always wanted their rights to live freely. The state having been seen their enthusiastic activities towards equality, abducted them and so far this procedure is continued illicitly. Secondly, It is also torture for their parents who are waiting for their beloved's safe recovery for ages in front of Quetta Press Club. According to the UDHR documentary, If they have done something illegal, they should be notified within twenty-four hours but vice versa. Similarly, It is the responsibility of every country to provide basic rights to the citizens. So, when we talk about Balochistan and human rights again heart goes down and the mind starts a deep meditation that Balochistan citizens are daily on the roads to protest for their fundamental rights. However, If we take the examples of current situations of the province, people are in hot water to raise their voices for their fundamental rights. Everyone knows It has been more than 25 days of Maulana Hidayat ur Rahman Baloch's sit-in for the basic rights. Unfortunately, the state is still in a dilemma and stuck to provide the citizens' inherent rights. Forsooth, On this exact world human rights day, there is a huge rally in Gawadar for their some demands including illegal trawling, closure of Iranian border, safe recovery of all abducted persons, unemployment, allowance for every fisherman to hunt freely, unnecessary check posts of FC and many more. On the other hand, on 9th December a Baloch leader named Yousuf Masthi Khan was arrested by the forces just because he has tweeted that, "If Pakistan considers us slaves, then we reject this slavery. We will not bow, we fight." It is everyone's right to live their lives the way which they want but in our motherland vice versa. Here no one has the rights of speech and the rights of equality. This procedure is totally against the documentary of UDHR. Secondly, the province completely lacks educational institutions for girls in rural areas. When parliamentarians are asked, they exclaim with happiness Baloch girls do not want to read. Schools aren't built, from where they read? Anyway, the government must not consider Balochistan a colony. This is our motherland, where we want to live peacefully. The government must follow the rules of UDHR as it is a member of the United Nations. It is the duty of the government to provide our rights and release all persons who were abducted by the forces. Secondly, It is my humble request to all members of the United Nations and members of UDHR to have a good glance towards us and speak for our rights.
