Gender Discrimination in Kech Festival

Kech which is the hub of intellectuals is the second biggest district of Balochistan in terms of population according to the recent census. It astonishes me to state that in the recent Kech festival boys were allowed to participate which is not only gender discrimination but also a violation of their rights. The main problem is that they see differences between boys and girls but they are same according to Article 25 constitution of Pakistan. In this modern era in kech there is Co-education. They read and learned together in addition numerous girls of Kech went abroad for reading. Moreover, Kech was like a graveyard previously but the former Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik change the fate of Kech by changing its infrastructures and Kech has numerous facilities today. Like other major cities festivals, all males and females participate but our people should not be narrow-minded.

More importantly, Kech festivals had numerous problems, the manager of the festival didn't inform anyone also no media become informed. Nevertheless, the security of the festival and police arrested boys and took them to prison. I request all festival manager to conduct festivals in a vast way where males and females can participate so that there should not be gender discrimination.
